Why do so many barbers/hair salons close on Mondays?

I always wondered this too. I think it is because of some law that is out there. Just not sure which one. It would seem that the owner of the salon could decide as to whether or not he/she wanted to be open. I understand that hairdresser need time off, but why not just rotate them? I can't tell you how many times I wanted to go in and get something done to my hair only to remember that it was a Monday. I will be interested in seeing what other ppl have to say about this question.Why do so many barbers/hair salons close on Mondays?
Because they are open on Saturdays, so they take Sunday and Monday for their weekend.Why do so many barbers/hair salons close on Mondays?
because on monday its like a lil crazy they need a break so they keep opening like for exsample im owner of vmk a disney site we dont open itill 10:00 its very nice so if you want to go on vmk or anybody my email adress is nicoleagrella@yaho.com thanks
Because barber/hair salons tailor their hours for appts to the typical Mon-Fri, 9 to 5 worker.





Saturday is a more convenient day to schedule hair cuts for the Mon-Fri workpeople and their children.





Monday is the hair salon's day off!
For a lot of businesses that are independently owned, the owner has to be there at all times. It would make no sense to take off on a Saturday, so they close on what would typical be a slow day.
Because they are usually open on Saturdays for clients who can't come in during the ';work week';. They close down on Mondays so their employees can have a two day weekend.
b/c there generally open tuesday through saturday...getting two days off in a row
Because they work Saturdays and have Sunday and Monday as the weekend.
Because they are open on Saturday. Most beauticians/barbers do not want to work 6 days a week.
Because Saturday is their busiest day, and Sunday and Monday are their weekend.
cuz they open on saturday, so mondays are their day off
They are generally closed on Sundays and Mondays due to the fact that Saturday is a very profitable day for making money and it allows for two day weekends to close on a slower day such as Monday.
i have no idea. but that is true. lol
