Barber shop Or Salon?

I have medium thick shaggy hair and want to cut it, any suggestions.I am getting a hair cut but I don't to cut too much off. I guess i would like it longer on the top.Barber shop Or Salon?

go see a hairdresser who can actually style your hair with a form fit cut.
salon, bc when you tell the barber what you just wrote, he will just be like uh huh okay, %26amp;%26amp; then when your done you'll look in the mirror and you'll have a fade, lol.
Thick shaggy hair can be tricky to cut so it looks good after you get home and try and do what the stylist did. My suggestion is to find a barber with alot of experience as they have more training in haircutting and know how to cut it so it will look good.
Your best bet is to go to a salon to get your hair cut %26amp; styled. Barbers only cut hair, they don't style, as it's not in their training. A salon may cost more than a barber but you'll get better results.

I would go to a salon...they have porbably more experience with long hair.
